a fun little party idea…

1

Last time I was shopping at Hobby Lobby (which is all the time, let's be honest…) I found some chalkboard paper in an adhesive roll, similar to paper! Kinsey and I thought it would be fun to make removable glass markers for parties. How about that?

2

Simply grab a roll of adhesive chalkboard paper, cut a strip, adhere it to your glass and smooth out any wrinkles with your finger. Write guests names on the glasses at your next shower or casual dinner with friends. When it's over you can remove them, and even re-use them! Have fun….

xo. elsie & kinsey too!

  • I need to get to my nearest hobby store and pick up a roll of this! Definitely doing this for my next get together with friends!

  • This is so cute, I love it! So much nicer than the lame Sharpie route I normally take to plastic (yuck) cups. Thanks for the tip!

  • Great idea! I’ve not seen that paper over here, but I’m sure it could be done with spray paint too!

  • I love this idea! It’s perfect for when you and your girlfriends are all drinking the same thing!

  • This is totally random I know…but where did you get that tablecloth? It is the exact combo of colors I am wanting in one! 🙂

  • That’s so awesome! I painted a piece of paper with chalkboard paint to get the same effect, but it was a total pain in the butt (streaks galore!).

  • I want that roll of tape! Great idea.

  • I’m always trying to get people to label their cups with just plain paper and tape but this is such a better idea. Can’t believe I never knew about chalk tape! Wow, seriously thanks!

  • Love this!! Such a great idea, I really want to throw a party now [okay let’s be honest, I always want to throw a party. Haha.]

  • It’s great idea! 🙂 I don’t know anything worse then people looking for their own glass. In the end, everyone has one which wasn’t their.

  • What a great idea!!! I used to use washi tape (for kids parties) but this is even better!! So much fun!

  • Super! Would make the party super fun! xoxo

  • Helen and Kinsey- I’d heard of chalkboard paint, but not of chalkboard paper! Love the idea for parties–I always ignored labeling people’s glasses and then at my husband’s birthday party this year, one of our guests somehow ended up with my glass. I’m definitely trying this next time!

Helen- Thanks for your comment on my blog. It made my day! 🙂

  • Top tip: It’s easier to write the name on the flat piece of chalkboard paper before you stick it on the glass. It’s hard to write around a cyclinder shape. I know. I tried.

  • so cute…I like this idea alot! I wonder if I can find it at Michael’s

  • that’s such a cute (and simple!) idea, something i will definitely try sometime soon!

  • What a great idea♥
I will have to look for that tape…we do not have a hobby Lobby where I live but we do have 3 other large craft stores.
Next trip there, I will look.
    Thanks for sharing.

  • Such a cute idea. I’ll never have to say or hear others say “Uhhh, where’s my drink? is that my drink!?”

  • I love the idea! but might do it on glasses and not jars (for some reason, I cant drink properly out of a jar!!)

  • You actual star – Wedding place names DONE! How does the sticky tape cope with tealights? Could you do an ickle test for me if you can? Pleeease? xxxx

  • I love this idea! I actually have some chalk stickers but I never thought to cut them up and use them like this! I know what I’m doing this weekend!

  • I love this idea….for my kids’ playdates! Yikes, those kids go through soooo many glasses when they are all over here.

    Thanks!

  • Any Idea where I can find that adhesive chalkboard paper online??

  • Pulling the all-nighter…. You sense that you’ve beaten the machine, tricked modern society, and challenged Nature. Your inbreed clock might be a bit perplexed, your mind a bit groggy, your eyes slightly baggy, but your mind a tiny bit accomplished! Not everyone can do it, after-all. That’s a person less finger you’re allowed keep up in the game of Do not have I Ever. “I JUST SIMPLY PULLED A GREAT ALL-NIGHTER! ” You will want to scream the following out the car window nevertheless hopefully you won’t be driving in this condition. Yes, your entire body will eventually go into REM rebound after you allow your mind to fall into a pillow, but until then, embrace a person’s zombie-like state. The experiencing doesn’t come usually, and you actually lose it quite rapid, so have fun with this while the item lasts since everything about this is AMAZING. That web site you employed to regularly visit that you haven’t attended in a little while. Nothing like forgetting “1000 magnificent things” (or other fav site), because life have been keeping anyone too filled to search for joy, and then ever coming back to see the content posted the very last couple of weeks, and getting a backstock of their bacony corny garlicy awesomeness all at one time. well from the end result of that tutorial, i appeared to be totally stoked bc it looked rather easy until when i started looking through his entirely nonsensical explantion.. by far the most poorly described one ive discover thus much… be far more specific so you wont have numerous dumbfounded posts about it!!
