Today I’m here to share a recipe that is tart and sweet and smoky and FUN. If you like weird cocktails, you’re gonna love it. Even if you don’t… you might.
1.5 ounces tequila
1 ounce Cointreau
1 ounce simple syrup
juice of one lime
First, prepare your glass by brushing the outside of the rim in honey and rolling it in coarse sea salt.
P.S. If I had a time machine, which I do not, I would go back and mix in some chopped cilantro with the sea salt for the rim. The cilantro flavor is subtle in comparison to the tequila and berry flavors. I’ve heard that 80% of what you taste comes from your sense of smell (is this true?!), so I think a little scented rim would be reallll fun.
There’s always next time, right? Oh yes, there will be a next time for this drink.
